Just in time for the Chinese New Year, PGA Cars, Inc., the official distributor of Porsche vehicles in the Philippines, quietly launched the all-new, second-generation Porsche Panamera.
The event was held at the Porsche Centre Philippines showroom along EDSA near the corner of Ortigas Avenue in Quezon City.
Slightly larger in nearly all dimensions than its predecessor, the all-new Panamera ditches the much-maligned wagon-like rear design of the first-gen model for one that is clearly influenced by the tail of the current 911, down to the full-width rear LED taillights. The tail also boasts of an impressively-designed rear spoiler that automatically folds out of the rear hatch when the car goes over 120kph and then folds back if the car goes below 80kph.
According to Porsche Philippines Sales Manager David Gomez, the Porsche Panamera Turbo you see here has already been bough for P17.7 million but he also clarified that the standard Panamera can also be made available to local buyers at a lower price.
