Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, closed 2016 on a high-note with its total vehicle sales, for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles, at 33, 695 units or a hefty 53% increase, with the former segment moving 23, 807 units out of the showroom while the latter had 9,888 units being driven out of the stock yard.
Leading the sales for Hyundai’s passenger cars were the Eon economy car and the Accent subcompact car to reflect a 53% growth for the whole year while the commercial vehicle segment was led by the Grand Starex for a 52% increase over the previous year.
As for the 4th Quarter, HARI’s overall vehicles sales reached 8,674 units to reflect a 62% Year-on-Year increase compared to 2015, with the commercial vehicle segment reflecting a massive 127% increase from 1,148 units in the same period of 2015 to 2,611 for the same period in 2016,
